What is ITIL® Managing Professional (Version 5)?
ITIL Managing Professional (Version 5) designation is one of the three streams in the ITIL (Version 5) certification scheme.
It is composed of three modules:
- ITIL Product (Version 5)
- ITIL Service (Version 5)
- ITIL Experience (Version 5)
ITIL Managing Professional (Version 5) Certification Stream and Learning Path
The ITIL Managing Professional (Version 5) certification stream is composed of the following three modules:
ITIL Product certification
ITIL Product offers guidance to organizations engaged in the development and continuous improvement of digital products throughout the ITIL Product and Service Lifecycle.
ITIL Service certification
ITIL Service examines how organizations design, develop, deliver, support, and continuously enhance services to generate value for stakeholders.
ITIL Experience certification
ITIL Experience expands on traditional ITIL by incorporating human experience into the design and delivery of digital products and services.
To be awarded as an ITIL Managing Professional, students must complete the three modules above.
In addition, students must also complete the ITIL Transformation module. This universal module applies to all three streams and is required to achieve each of the three ITIL (Version 5) designations: ITIL Managing Professional, ITIL Practice Manager and ITIL Strategic Leader. However, it only needs to be completed once—there is no need to retake it to obtain the other two qualifications once it has been completed.
ITIL Managing Professional (Version 5) Exams: How to Get Certified
ITIL Managing Professional: ITIL Foundation + ITIL Product + ITIL Service + ITIL Experience + ITIL Transformation
The ITIL Managing Professional (ITIL MP) designation requires the ITIL Foundation certification along with the Product, Service, Experience, and Transformation modules.
