What is ITIL® Transformation (Version 5)?

ITIL Transformation is a core module in the ITIL (Version 5) qualification scheme.

This module provides candidates with the tools and guidance to transform organizational operations by integrating governance, execution, and continual learning. Following ITIL guidance, it offers practical strategies to align people, processes, and technology, ensuring that transformations generate measurable value and strengthen enterprise resilience.

ITIL Transformation Module: Mandatory for ITIL Advanced Certification Streams

ITIL Transformation is required for the ITIL PM, SL and MP designations. If students have completed all the modules included in the ITIL Managing Professional, ITIL Strategic Leader or ITIL Practice Manager certification streams, they are also required to complete the ITIL Transformation module in order to achieve the qualification. ITIL Transformation only needs to be completed once, and the certification counts toward all three designations.

In addition, ITIL Transformation can also be used as a transition module for ITIL 4 certification holders to update to the ITIL Strategic Leader (Version 5) or ITIL Practice Manager (Version 5) certifications.
